Turkey strikes Kurdish militants after Istanbul explosion – POLITICO



Turkey performed air strikes in opposition to Kurdish militant bases in northern Iraq and Syria, the Turkish protection ministry announced early Sunday, every week after an explosion in Istanbul that killed six folks and injured greater than 80 others.  

The targets had been bases that the Kurdistan Employees Get together (PKK) and the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia had been utilizing to launch terrorist assaults on Turkey, the ministry stated.

“Our intention is to make sure the safety of our 85 million residents and our borders, and to retaliate for any treacherous assault on our nation,” Protection Minister Hulusi Akar stated in a statement.
